Self-expression reigns supreme with P448’s FW20 collection. From first sketch to
final stitch, every collection is made entirely in Italy. This collection is inspired
by retro styles of eras gone by, imagined in a contemporary colour palette, with
texture and print remaining the focus.
With fresh takes on our best-loved iconic styles including John and Soho to new
lines inspired by sustainability and innovation, this is a line that celebrates P448’s
signature mix and match vision.

P448 Icons

The iconic Soho sneaker returns for the season with a stripped-back aesthetic.
Focused on the form and line of the shoe, it features striking colour accents to
the heel tabs and matching leather lining and trim. Best-loved styles, the high-top
Skate and the low-top John, feature red detail while the Soho and Zac styles are
imagined in green.
For a truly unconventional offering, sneakers have also been created with a bold,
red and royal colour-block sole and zebra-print heel tab.

New Entry: Zacmid Sneaker

This season’s newcomer is ZacMid, a mid-height sneaker with echoes of the
signature Zac style but inspired by the world of tennis. Contrast suede tongue and heel tabs add a luxe edge.

Y.C.S.L. Collection

FW20’s standout line this season is Y.C.S.L, a vintage inspired selection with a
vulcanised rubber sole, 100% made in Italy. Taking its name from the brand
motto ‘you can surf later’, it takes its lead from retro sneaker styles for truly
timeless appeal.
This collection pays homage to the earliest origins of sneaker manufacturing,
championing the handcrafted process that was first used centuries before and
has since been revived in Italian factories where P448’s production is located.
Using restored machinery, these vulcanised rubber soles have a distinctive,
distressed appearance. Natural imperfections signify the hand-crafted beauty of
the material.
Crafted from 100% natural rubber, comprised of 80% caoutchouc, this vulcanised
material uses sulphur to create links between the rubber’s polymer chains, for a
highly effective, lightweight and durable sole. The Y.C.S.L line incorporates this
iconic sole which is also detailed with a repetitive youcansurflater motif.

RE:new Capsule Collection

Following on from its debut last season, the RE:New capsule returns with new
models added to the line. RE:New illustrates P448’s commitment to innovative
solutions and has been executed with a suitably experimental spirit. These
sneakers are made from discarded scrap pieces left over from traditional
leather production. The fibres of this leather are combined with synthetic fibres
and woven together in a process called ‘water fusion’. After undergoing various
finishing phases, including pigmentation, the end result is a single material roll.
Re:new unique leather reduces environmental impact by 80% by drastically
cutting back on the levels of waste, consumption and energy that goes into
traditional leather production. The eco-sustainable project includes the first
dedicated ‘green packaging’, made from recycled materials. The capsule motto is
a recurring theme throughout the sneaker and can be found on the tongue, sole
and packaging.

The RE:New sneakers capsule features John, Soho, Luke, Zac and Y.C.S.L. With the brand wholly committed to moving towards a more sustainable future, the Recycled Unisex Y.C.S.L line is a hybrid between the RE:New capsule and Y.C.S.L range. Eco-friendly in every shape and form, it features a vulcanised rubber sole and a white recycled leather upper. RE:New print detail to the tongue highlights the sneakers eco-credentials.

3D Suggestions

Finally the Uomo line offers a truly distinctive twist on the everyday sneaker. Classic design motifs are fused with a vibrant colour palette creating bold textures with a three-dimensional effect unique to P448.This distinctive line features a range of unique soles including camouflage, graffiti print, monochrome marble and tiedye.
Edgy, distinctive and statement-making, these sneakers epitomise the P448
mix-and-match ethos.
